Born in la Romana, Dominican Republic, she started her professionnal career in the 80s as chef at El Bario restaurant situated just next to Punta Cana CLUB MED. Herminia moved to Québec in 1990 and worked in different restaurants, la Barque à Marie-Claude, la Petite Allée et le Manoir Mauvide Genest. She then became chef at le Poisson d'Avril, renowned seafood restaurant where she worked for many years untill it closed in 2012
In may 2015 she decided to open her own café where she can greet her customers with good soups, sandwiches and Dominican specialties. They say that the Dominican sunshine is in the house.
Latina music is a must and the atmosphere is laid back.
